29th CIAED ABED International Congress of Distance Education

Quality and Excellence in Distance Education

 

In discussions about Distance Education, ABED positioned itself in favor of Quality in Distance Learning, promoting lives and debates, issuing notes, and seeking dialogue with competent bodies. As an Association with 29 years of existence interacting with national and international associations, institutions, and professionals, we are fully aware that it is possible to offer training and distance courses with a quality equivalent to the in-person modality.

 

To contribute to this debate, ABED defined "Quality and Excellence in Distance Education" as the central theme of the 29th CIAED, and the location of CIAED is Brasília, the country's capital. The event, therefore, will bring together educators, tutors, managers, students, instructional designers, members of government sectors, politicians, business people, and other professionals, national and foreign, in an environment for discussions and deliberations on issues related to distance learning. The Ministry of Education (MEC), the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP), the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), State Departments of Education and other government bodies will be invited, including to answer questions and provide assistance to HEIs regarding regulations and processes.
